Agent reference¶

The Helix agent framework lives under pkg/agent/. Reference docs are organized by:

Agent types (adk/)¶

bin/audit-docs --category agent-types enumerates the 7 types:

• react — tool-using reasoning loop
• supervisor — delegates to sub-agents via sub_agents:
• plan-execute — plan, then dispatch
• deep — multi-pass refinement
• sequential — fixed step order
• parallel — fan-out / gather
• loop — iterate until a stop condition

Subsystems¶

• flows — pkg/agent/flow/: Sequential, Parallel, Conditional, Loop, Pipeline flows
• memory — pkg/agent/memory/: Conversation, SlidingWindow, Summary, TokenWindow, LongTerm (file/SQL/vector), Composite
• tools — pkg/agent/tool/ + pkg/agent/builtin/: tool definitions and the bundled tool catalog
• guardrails — pkg/agent/guardrails/: input/output safety
• skills — pkg/agent/skills/ + skilltoolset/: skill packs and their tool bridges
